I did some dumb things when I was a kid, but never anything like this. Jumping onto a school cafeteria table loaded down with fake bombs and holding a fake gun in the air, an Arizona teenager started making threats that he was going to kill his fellow students. He then jumped down and tried to flee, but was apprehended.
The fact that he was in a 'gun-free zone' probably saved his life. Try this out in public, and someone might have started shooting.
The kid is being held for arraignment this morning. Given his prior convictions for drug possession, I don't think the judge will go too lightly on him.

Wait, wait, wait.
Lemme get this straight.
Shall I point out how this statement contradicts EVERYTHING you've EVER said about guns in the past or are you smart enough to do that yourself?
Posted by: lazywhinerkid at November 1, 2002 11:27 AMPlease, do explain. I fail to see how this is contradictory to my Second Amendment position.
He carried a firearm (albeit a disabled BB gun) into a 'gun free zone' and threatened to start killing people. Had he done that in say.. downtown Tuscaloosa, (or a gun store) he probably would have been shot before he finished his sentence.
Therefore, his life was saved by the fact that no one standing around him was armed.
The statement itself is neutral, and I took no position either way. However, had he been gunned down right after making his threat, I certainly would not have shed any tears.
