Handgun trumps crowbar in attempted robbery

A service station owner in Connecticut uses a firearm to disarm a would-be robber armed with a crow bar.

Perhaps someone out there can tell me what a ".44-caliber shotgun" is. The only think I can think of is they either meant to say .410 gauge or .44 caliber handgun.

What? You mean I could have rated something else on "What kind of gun are you?" test? Heavens to Betsy!

If you ever find out what the hell the stupid reporter meant, you'll tell us, right?

I heard a similar screw up on the discovery channel. The program was about cops in the line of fire. The narrator stated that the perpatrator opened fire with a ".22 caliber shotgun." So much for educational programming.

I do not know what the reporter ment, but in the lat 1800's there were 44 caliber shootguns.
Stevens arms and tool company made about 100 of them for the wild west shows.

I don't know what all this is about, but I have a 44 Caliber shotgun. Or at least it shoots a short 410 shell. It was manufactured by Harrington and Richardson. It has two pat. dates. Feb. 23,24 1900 and May 14. 1901.

Again I say it is a shot gun because it shoots a 410 shell and it has a smooth bore. I can't find any information on it.
