"This is the worst any mayor has done in nine years - and that's only because we've only been polling for nine years," said Maurice Carroll of Quinnipiac University to the New York Post, after an April 29th survey showed that Mayor Bloomberg had a lowly 32% approval rating.
Bloomberg didn't seem to mind, though. "When you raise the property tax you go from 60 percent approval rating to a 30 percent approval rating. Two months later you're back to a 50 percent approval rating," the mayor said.
