Big Lake pastor Phillip Mielke has been indicted by a grand jury in the shooting death of two men he says were robbing his Church. I'm sure Renee is thrilled. My personal opinion is, indictment be damned. I'd rather be tried by twelve than carried by six.

I just can't understand how a state that has just adopted unrestricted concealed-carry can prosecute a man for defending his poperty, and quite possibly his life as well.
It's like a statewide form of cognitive-dissonance. Yup, you can carry a handgun for your personal protection, but God help you if you actually use the damn thing.
According to the story, both intruders were on drugs, were armed with knives and refused to stop when ordered to do so. Also, there's the mystery of where the .357 Magnum revolver came from. The story suggests it wasn't the pastor's. Gee, I wonder.
And Ravenwood...screw Renee. As far as I'm concerned, the only crime committed here was that her "husband" (she never indicated if the guy was married to her) managed to father a bastard, and hence pass on his genetic legacy of criminal behavior, with her before shedding the mortal coil. The little brat will probably grow up to be a felon, just like dear departed daddy.
Funny how in almost every state in the Union you need to get a permit to own a gun, but you can have a kid with no restrictions. Mark my words, the little bastard, and probably his Mommy as well, will eventually wind up costing the taxpayers a small fortune in court fees and the cost of incarceration.
