World to end soon, women and minorities hardest hit

iconAcidman takes a cynical look at what else might happen between now and when this asteroid slams into the Earth in 2014. It seems that the only real certainty is that the "holier than thou" media would tell everyone that monkeys might fly out of their butt if they thought it would sell a few newspapers.

IMHO, some of them are no better than the Weekly World News.

It's probably the Bush administration's fault because we didn't sign the Kyoto treaty.

The Weekly World News knows and sells itself as what it is, a sort of free-association news. When killer bees first appeared, who had the first ``Killer Trees'' story on page one? These trees walk and are threats chiefly to the infirm and infants, who move slowly. Anyway they escaped from a lab in Brazil and were working their way north.

Also from a lab in Brazil, Brazilian needle birds, that have a needle-beak and inject you.

Let's see, a 10 gal. acquarium tank shot with a ``World's Smallest Whales'' pic in it.

This is a publication having fun. They go through dry periods and are good sometime after spring break when some new intern blood has been thinking about the news.

The regular media take themselves seriously. There is all the difference.
