The Democrat Presidential candidates got some bad news today, and the headline reads GDP Jumps 7.2 Percent, Biggest Increase in Nearly 20 Years. By the way, just who was it that was in the White House 20 years ago?
The economy grew at a scorching 7.2 percent annual rate in the third quarter in the strongest pace in nearly two decades. Consumers spent with abandon and businesses ramped up investment, compelling new evidence of an economic resurgence. It's hard not to point out that good economic news is bad for Democrats, when you read money quotes like this one:
Democrats, however, argue that the tax cuts contributed to a record budget deficit in the recently ended 2003 fiscal year and have done little to spur significant job growth. That's Democrats for you, we get wonderful economic news and they try to tamper it with stories of doom and despair.
Pretty sick shit there Steve. Democrats want the economy to be robust and strong. Remember how healthy it was during the Clinton presidency?
Why do you always seek to tear down and destroy and disparage other folks motivations? Is it too much to ask that you try to get behind something and work to BUILD something?
I think if you can answer that question, it may be pretty revealing to other aspects of your life.
Posted by: Lope at October 30, 2003 10:54 PMI didn't write the article. The AP clearly illustrates that in the midst of good economic news, Democrats are downplaying it to attack the Bush Administration. I presume it is for their own political gain.
Posted by: Ravenwood at October 30, 2003 11:01 PMSteve - the fact is we are having a "jobless recovery" (whatever the hell that may really mean certainly includes a lack of jobs) and the Bush administration has exploded the deficit (and debt).
Would you prefer Democrats tossed George Bush's salad while humming "For He's A Jolly Good Fella" every time Republicans take credit for something good? Of course you would. And you'd stop pretending to be a Libertarian if it was your salad. (grin)
.. and that was the liberal media clearly indicating all that right?
