The New York Post reports that New Yorker's overall taxes are 72% higher than the national average.
New York's local income-tax burden is nearly five times the national average, the sales tax is double, and the property-tax punch is about one-third higher than the rest of the nation's.What a ringing endorsement. It's no wonder that more and more Americans are moving south.
