For the first time in 300 years, the French Navy is now larger than that of the U.K. reports the London Evening Standard. While it will serve as minimal embarrassment for the English, it is a larger indication that the U.S. is and will be the lone superpower for quite some time. Europe doesn't appear to be too worried about defending herself, and why should they. As long as they know the good ol' U. S. of A. will bail them out in a pinch, they are free to throw away money on their big government social programs.
