"Since it is clearly no longer possible to take action in conjunction with NATO and the United Nations, I have reluctantly concluded that we must take unilateral action." -- Presidential Candidate Howard Dean, in a 1995 letter to Bill Clinton pressuring him to take unilateral action in Bosnia.

The letter reveals that Howard Dean reluctantly supports the use of unilateral force. Is there something scandalous about that?
