Something I wish I'd said

icon"I wonder if it would be innapropriate to suggest that the Secret Service guys pass on taking a bullet for Kerry's worthless hide? Good SS agents are hard to come by, and worthless politicians are a dime a dozen." -- Musings of The GeekWithA.45.

Poor form, Peter.

Should members of our armed forces not perform to the peak of their abilities if Kerry's elected simply because he's John Kerry?

No, but then sKerry's not President yet. Rather than the agents sidestep their duty I'd prefer to see them resign as a protest to his candidacy / election.

Imagine the outcry if an agent had resigned during Clinton's adminstration stating, "The man is sleaze I cannot, in good conscience, put my life on the line for a man such as him.

The catch is agents take an oath to remain silent aobut the people they're assigned to protect.

In the immortal words of Eddie Murphy:

"Black secret service men sidestep it... fuck that shit... They shot Ron, well shit man.. I'll just have to get a job at my cousin's cleaners then"
