In case you forgot that politics mainly consists of who has the best vote buying schemes, the Senate GOP gives us a reminder.
Senate Republicans are crafting legislation that would raise the hourly minimum wage by more than a dollar, in an attempt to take a hot-button election-year issue off the table.I can hardly wait to hear the "living wage" rhetoric. Of course, no matter how much you raise the minimum wage, it will never be enough for Democrats.
If minimum wages are such a good thing, how about we raise it up to $100 per hour. Then we're talking about some real money.
Why can't anyone seem to grasp the stupidity of raising the minimum wage? Say they bump it up to $10 an hour.
Someone cleaning toilets in West Bumbleknob, Iowa is living like a king. That person's employer is gonna get creamed.
Mandating the same wages for people in the sticks and people living in Manhattan is sheer asshattery.
