Kerry Edwards, who owns the domain name kerryedwards.com looks to be on the verge of cashing in big. Not that I would blame him for accepting the $150,000 (or more) that he's reportedly been offered for his website. But the Democrats seem to be passing on the offer to buy the domain name, something that resulted in the following exchange between domain owner Kerry Edwards and CNN's resident lefty Carol Lin:
LIN: Now, you voted for President Clinton. Why not help out the party again?Kerry is a democrat and has already gone on record as saying he'll vote for John Kerry. But apparently he's not crazy enough for Kerry to fork over an asset that could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
EDWARDS: How do you mean?
LIN: Sell it to the Kerry people for whatever they're willing to pay for it.
EDWARDS: For whatever they're willing to pay for it?
LIN: Yeah.
EDWARDS: I don't think they're willing to pay what it's actually worth, and I'm not in the financial position to just give away money. So if they were willing to pay what the Web site's worth, that's great, I'll give it to them.
Personally, I'm hoping that he'll rethink supporting the tax and spenders when he sees how big of a bite the government takes from him for selling that domain name.

I'm surprised they haven't tried to exercise eminent domain. That's the usual donk method when they want something.
