Who needs neighbors like this? In Suffolk, Virginia a woman witnessed a three year old playing with a pistol. Did she take quick action and take the pistol away from the kid? Nope, she grabbed a video camera. (Was she hoping to catch footage of the kid blowing his head off?)
The gun was unloaded, and the child unharmed (no thanks to the neighbor). The parents will be facing felony child endangerment charges for their act of stupidity. The neighbor isn't facing any charges for her failure to act, although in my opinion she should. They were all negligent, but the neighbor's seemed more willful.
Said parents also lost their parenting privileges. Their three children were confiscated by the government and given to relatives for safe keeping. Meanwhile, the neighbor lady is playing up the hero role for the news media.
The parents were stupid. The woman who decided to keep on filming instead of coming to the childs aid is sick in the head and heart. God help any children she may have. She was in a position to prevent a tragedy and chose instead to risk a childs life for the possibility of future profit and notoriety. Well, now she has her 15 minutes of fame, as the most heartless woman in Virginia.
