I'd love to have problems like this

iconThis guy lives in a tropical paradise, has a hotty cheerleader wife, and his biggest beef is that he can't get the Titan's games on TV. So, he's vowing to eat only pudding until the NFL allows games to be shown in the Virgin Islands.

NFL blackout rules are a bitch, but it's the NFL's right to control their broadcast. I guess this guy has never heard of satellite TV.

DirectTV still requires a phone line hookup and long distance to/from the US Virgin Islands costs mucho grande dinero.

When I had DirecTV, they only required the phone hookup for pay-per-view and ordering extras. I was able to get local channels, pay channels (like HBO) and the NCAA football package without keeping it hooked up to a telephone line.

Likewise, I see people at football tailgates all the time playing pro and college games on their RVs through DirecTV.

I've had DirecTV for about 5 years now, and removed the phone line about 4.9 years ago. Every function I've tried since then, including ordering movies and packages, works.

To this day, I have no idea why the phone line is "necessary".

Oh, and Pudding Guy is a dumbass.
