This is weird and probably illegal, considering they have to actually write on or stamp the money with their website. But hey, what do I care.
I'm thinking I picked this bill up at a bar in Blacksburg (right next to Radford) when I was down there for the West Virginia football game. I gave it to the Pizza delivery man last night. It will be interesting to see where it turns up next.
How does the recipient know to go to the website and enter the information? Is there a message written on the bill?
Posted by: Ralph Gizzip at October 12, 2004 9:36 AMYes. There is a little red stamp on it. I guess I left that out.
Posted by: Ravenwood at October 12, 2004 10:47 AMAs I understand it, a stamp mark does not "alter or defile" the legibility of a bill, so that is why yo can do it.
However, I know they used to sell stampers but the gov. told them not to do that. There's an article on their site somewhere that states the legality of marking mney, I guess they can't encourage it by selling stampers though.
