The Democrats want to use the McCain-Feingold bill to censor political speech.
Sinclair's decision to order its 62 stations to carry a movie attacking Kerry's Vietnam record is drawing political fire -- not least from the Democratic National Committee, which plans to file a federal complaint today accusing the company of election-law violations. "Sinclair's owners aren't interested in news, they're interested in pro-Bush propaganda," said DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe, whose complaint will accuse the firm of making an in-kind contribution to the Bush campaign.Had McAuliffe not made similar complaints about Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 and Bruce Springsteen's Kerry Aid concerts, he'd really look like a hypocrite.
Mark Hymen, VP of Sinclair Broadcasting and it's public voice, has issued a public invitation to John Kerry to appear during this airing and refute all the claims made. The Kerry camp has been strangely silent.

Posted by: Ralph Gizzip at October 13, 2004 10:48 AMIt's the usual. The Dems blast a tv co for doing what they do to Bush all the time. McAuliffe is a huge hypocrite. Hey, how come the media has stopped investigating Rather's forged documents? When and where did his source make, I mean, get them? What ever happened to the Sandy Berger scandal? How come the swiftboat vets aren't being covered? Any double standard here?
