The ACC has announced their divisional realignment:
The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the names of its two football divisions and issued a new seal to better represent recent additions to the league. This is pretty much what I expected. Florida State probably insisted on not being in the same division as Miami and Virginia Tech. I wonder if they will stop playing each other every year now that the division loss for FSU means so much more. The ACC will start using the Atlantic and the Coastal divisions next season. There are no divisions for basketball. Members of the Atlantic division are Maryland, Clemson, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Boston College and Florida State. The Coastal division consists of Virginia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech and Miami.
The good news for me is that the Virginia Tech-UVA rivalry will remain.
