If you lived next door to a nucular power plant, wouldn't you want to know right away if something went wrong? Well, not in Canada. They are complaining that the emergency sirens would be too loud.
Nah...if I'm going to be irradiated more than your average Hebrew National, I think I'd rather not wake up.... ;0)

In fact the test is the point. Tornado sirens are exclusively to prove the primacy of the government over the population, the one-way flow of information; the information being the test.
