Say Uncle thinks that New York's idea of a ready kit leaves a little bit to be desired. I wonder how much money was spent putting this idea together.
Your Emergency Evacuation Kit contains the following:There's more...These were distributed to people working in tall buildings that might have terrorists attempting to smash aircraft into them. The people receiving these kits were instructed to keep the kit in their desk at all times, so that in case of terrorism, they would have official government instructions to follow while dying.
- (one) Slide Lock Bag
- (one) Particle Mask
- (one) Water Pouch, 4oz
- (one) Emergency Whistle
- (one) Glow Stick, 12 hours
- (two) Official Government Instruction Sheets
1 packet of water but TWO government instruction sheets? Sheesh

Posted by: Michael at April 1, 2005 12:10 PMHow about an LED flashlight, a Leatherman tool, a bandana, and a cell phone? I usually have at least those items at all times, and will probably be more effective than the list they give. I figure if I am able to die of thirst before someone gets to me, things are going badly and nobody will find me anyway...
