It's nice to know that the biggest education issue facing the state of Texas is whether or not their cheerleaders shake their booty too much.
The state's House of Representatives voted 85-55 to approve a bill that would forbid sexy cheers and give the Texas Education Agency authority to punish schools that allow "overtly sexually suggestive" routines at football games and other events. You think zero tolerance is bad now, wait until teachers and principals start enforcing this one.
UPDATE: This bill appears to be dying in the Texas Senate.

Is giving the Tex Education Agency the authority to punish the same as outlawing certain cheerleading routines?
