Who's lining up to go see Star Wars at midnight tonight? And who's dressing the part? And who's playing hooky from work because of it?
A bunch of folks from work are going to the midnight, but based on my disappointment in Eps I and II, I'm not going to make any special effort to go see this one.
Posted by: Thibodeaux at May 18, 2005 10:00 AMA buddy of mine has a second job working at a movie theater. I saw the movie at midnight last night. The good news is, we don't have to hang George Lucas.
Posted by: Brass at May 18, 2005 10:19 AMAfter the supreme disappointments from the first two episodes, I don't think Lucas deserves any more of my money. I am waiting for video on this one...
If I take off a day of work, it won't be for George Lucas.
I haven't a clue whether I'll even see the movie in the theater. Episode I was much better in VHS, Episode II was hardly worth watching once.
Posted by: Lornkanaga at May 18, 2005 1:18 PMSome places are open 24 hours for star wars. I don't think the demand is that great, but damn it, I'm never asleep at 3am. Going in the middle of the night would be an amazing nerd trophy, I like the idea.
Posted by: DaveJ at May 18, 2005 2:13 PMHow can I not, if only to complete the journey, difficult as it may have been. Yes, recent installments have been...ahem.... less than perfect, but so were the first three. So I'll suck it up, eat $8.50, and go. And take a half day tomorrow.
Posted by: Flyer at May 18, 2005 5:30 PMI'm a star Wars fan, but i don't think id stand in line for hours....
I'll get my chance to see it Friday night.
Oh the whole dressing up part....it be kool, and could be fun if done right.
but us geeks ain't no worse than the lunatics that "dress up" for the Sunday football game...
Stupid movies with juvenile plots. Special effects lose their appeal after the first year of release.
Where did our taste go?
