I wasn't kidding when I lamented about URLs that use keywords. Take this one from CNN. The headline reads: "New rules to crack down on child porn". The URL contains the word 'childporn', which immediately sends up red flags to internet filters and firewalls used by most companies. In some cases the url and subsequent content are blocked completely.
If you are interested in increasing your readership, keep that in mind.
Heh.
My outdated second amendment post originally contained a three letter word for the buttocks. I quickly found that it was blocked by lots of filters so I simply changed it to read A**
Worked fine and still got the message across.
