"I would make the argument that America is safer when Democrats are in the White House, than when Republicans are in the White House." -- DNC Chairman Howard Dean, June 4, 2005.
Former candidate for President and Vice President John Edwards noted, "The chairman of the DNC is not the spokesman for the party. He's a voice. I don't agree with it."

I would make the argument, but I would be lying, and no one would believe it anyway.

It only took a couple of years to go from darling of the Democratic Party and shoo-in for the 2004 Presidential nomination to a former governor on the brink of losing his position as head of the DNC.
It seems to me that his career's only a few small steps away from working the counter at a local Starbucks.
