I can sort of agree with the findings, but not with the conclusions. Locally we had something similar occur last year with the police blaming the college I worked for and studied under for all the major drug and alcohol crimes in the area. I was pissed off when a shooting occured and the local police department started spouting out how all the crime was the college's fault. They ended up trying to get into campus security jurisdiction that way but they got called on it.

Let's see, start a rant about high crime being the college and security personnels' responsibility and fault and then try to muscle in and have more responsibility on campus and more cooperation with security forces. That's a good way to get in. (Nevermind that any and all crimes we ever found were fully reported to the local PD and our relationships with the patrol officers were very good.)

I'm glad one important member called the jerks on that rant.
