Not that I'm a big fan of Terry Bowden, but he has Virginia Tech ranked at number 7 in his pre-season poll. For what it's worth, we're also the highest ranked ACC team (in the world according to Terry). USC is his "no-brainer" number 1.

Not that I am obnoxious or anything, but I should point out that Tennessee is ranked #3
Oh, and they are going to be a much better team than #2 Texas (though I don't know enough about USC who I suspect is living mostly on past laurels, but who knows)
