it tasted really good, too!
as soon as i started planning the wedding, i wanted a gun on the groom's cake. i emailed the pic to the bakery, and they said they could do it. i'm so pleased with how it turned out!

Congrats to you and the Hubby Sara!!!
Posted by: Derek at December 15, 2005 8:47 AMYou call that big?
I guess Sarah won't be risking disappointment then. ;-)

Posted by: Ravenwood at December 15, 2005 9:33 AMNot to be that guy, buuuut... the groom's cake at my wedding might well have been cooler. It was a trebuchet with doughnut holes. And, of course, we shot them at my best man.
Posted by: Nate at December 15, 2005 11:49 AMI didn't even realize that I was supposed to have my own cake when I got married 2 years ago. Is this a recent development, or did I get ripped off?
Damn. My one chance to have a beer, gun, and electric guitar themed cake, and I missed it.
Posted by: roger at December 15, 2005 12:00 PMWell, we had a traditional brides cake (3 layers) but the grooms cake was a fulll size IPSC target that we took out to the range the day after the wedding when the Somerville Gun Club held a wedding celebration match in our honor. Each of the stages had a wedding theme. In-Laws & Out-Laws, Wedding Bells, Last Dance, Speak Now. Doesn't hurt that we met on the range and it was after a match that I proposed to her.
