James Taranto reports that Morgan Freeman is a man.
Every now and then, a celebrity says something intelligent. Here's a report from the Associated Press:Morgan Freeman says the concept of a month dedicated to black history is "ridiculous."
Morgan Freeman is a man."You're going to relegate my history to a month?" the 68-year-old actor says in an interview on CBS' "60 Minutes" to air Sunday. . . . "I don't want a black history month. Black history is American history." . . .
Freeman notes there is no "white history month," and says the only way to get rid of racism is to "stop talking about it."
The actor says he believes the labels "black" and "white" are an obstacle to beating racism.
"I am going to stop calling you a white man and I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man," Freeman says.

This is a great post... (^__^) hehehe...
I can almost hear him saying that, too...
b.t.w... Beautiful blog... !
ps: On my site it's blah-blah-blah (too much typing)
What a breathe of fresh air. Morgan Freeman nailed it. I would love to be able to just ignore all the racial identity BS, but it's gotta be them first because I'm not the one trying to discriminate against them.
And yeah, it truly is an eye pleasing layout you have here. Best I've seen, easily.
I'm all for changing February to American History Month.

I recently wrote about "identity" in America in The Seattle Times. Might be interesting to you folks.
Weaving into the Fabric of America (my own proposed title was "Once Was an Asian").

I reached the point Freeman is discussing thirty years ago. Where is everybody else?
