Money is always a touchy subject. I never blame people for wanting to raise a dollar, but I understand how it can disturb some people. Especially when you start asking for handouts.
This is one reason why Ravenwood's Universe is fully funded by the Staff Writers and accepts no funding from outside sources.
I have to admit that their flightiness of late has caused me to avoid the site for about a month.
However, I wish them no ill will.
BTW, does your post mean that they are selling cool stuff to make a buck or are they asking for donations? If so, I'll probably swing by the site sometime this weekend.
Posted by: Lornkanaga at January 12, 2006 1:29 PMI'm not familiar with the website and I never answer online requests for personal income, but it is not unheard of (remember the SBVT) for liberals to punish conservatives for speech by refusing to hire, or even to keep them on the payroll. We don't have the free pass that people like Ward Churchill have. It is a growing problem and of course it is not considered a bad thing at all by the liberal press.
Perhaps I am not upset by the seemingly shifty goings on over at "whatnameisitcalledthismonth.com" because I read their content objectively and not like a religious devotee.
When Kim's site becomes a "pay-per-view" service, I shall decline to participate. Until that time, I will likely continue to read it at my leisure.
Posted by: Rimfirejones at January 12, 2006 7:17 PMFree of charge. The post above states that there is "no free lunch". Someone has to pay for this site someway, somewhere, somehow. I pay by turning my computer on and using electricity. I am paying an opportunity cost by visiting this site and not another one which could be much more interesting. My time is worth something, isn't it?
Besides, I just come to view the backside of Sondra K. Why doesn'y my wife look like that?
You do show the Rats for what they are which you have done very well in the post above. And I do like your pro-gun comments. You can be very sarcastic at times which is positive.
You are slowly but surely earning the esteemed Muffin Paw Print of Approval.
