There seems to be a notion that gun grabbers cannot possibly be as stupid as they sound. Some theorize that they are actually pro-gunners in disguise. As if they are part of a conspiracy (coordinated or un-) to make the antis look like morons. My personal thoughts are that if a guy sounds like a moron, he probably is.
Personally I would never do such a thing, but I got to wondering if any of you would. So my question to you is: Have you ever masqueraded as the opposing side (save for obvious sarcasm) just to make the other side look bad? If not, would you? Why?
I have not and can't imagine doing it, but I know people who have. They went to an anti-gun rally for kicks.

Posted by: Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner at October 9, 2006 6:35 PMI think that sometimes people do and say certain things in an attempt to be sarcastic, but discover that their target is dumb enough not to recognize it. Other times, the sarcasm is clearly intended to be missed, simply by picking the most foolish audience possible.
Case in point:
These guys have done a lot of stuff that was really over the top, yet many people thought they were comrades. I haven't watched them in a while, but I seem to recall some great videos.
Personally, though, I don't want to deliberately look stupid in order to discredit my enemies. Besides the fact that I'm already stupid enough on pretty much any given day, I am also entirely too busy buying ammo and oppressing the poor and/or minorities to find the time.
Posted by: roger at October 10, 2006 9:16 AMNo way; what you see is what you get. I don't believe in playing a bunch of silly-ass mind games with a bunch of idiots. If they aren't smart enough to communicate with rationally, to hell with them.
