"I think religion has always tried to turn hatred toward gay people. . .Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays. . .From my point of view, I would ban religion completely. Organized religion doesn't seem to work. It turns people into really hateful lemmings and it's not really compassionate." - Sir Elton John in the UK Observer's Music Monthly Magazine.
What a rube
Posted by: SgtFluffy at November 13, 2006 5:21 PMWhereas being "gay" obviously promotes the hatred and spite against people with religion...
Posted by: emdfl at November 14, 2006 7:44 AMFrom my point of view I would ban religion? Guess being tolerant of other views doesn't apply when you want to be a protected class? We should just ban gayness. In 60 or 70 years the problem goes away. They depend on recruitment. LOL
Posted by: kemyst at November 14, 2006 11:33 AMQ: What does every philosophe of the 20th century have in common?
A: They have all targeted religion as there main enemies.
Dont believe me? Let me give you a few examples:
feminism
nationalism
socialism
randism
enviromentalism
liberalism
classical liberalism
These philosophes contradict each other yet they all taget religion. Why? At a guess I would say it is becuase they hope to replace god with there idols.

These jerks just want lots of friends.
Posted by: Lornkanaga at November 16, 2006 2:15 PMHmm.
Religion, (some) want to see the abolition of homosexuality.
Gays (some) want to see the abolition of religion.
Seems like a balance that can be lived with. Kinda like having two bullies bellowing at each other about who is going to beat whom. Neither really can do anything to eliminate the other.
Posted by: Nylarthotep at November 17, 2006 7:27 AMPersonally, I think the problem could be solved best by simply banning Elton John.
