Rule 4: Be sure of your target, and what's behind it

Tragic:

Cop shoots at snake, kills boy, 5

Four Rules:

- Treat as loaded
- Safe direction
- Finger off trigger
- Know your target

Just remember that this stupid SOB was the only person in the area PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH to handle that firearm.

What do people think happens when a shot is fired into the air...that it burns up in the atmosphere??

Another "child killed by firearm" statistic. And a "accidental death by firearm" statistic.

OK - if I were to "accidentally" shoot & kill a child - whether to dispatch a treed snake or ANY other non-sense, I would probably be charged with manslaughter.

This policeman should lose his peace officer's license and right to possess a weapon that he obviously does not know how to properly use & then be charged with manslaughter. If there were a law against stupidity he should be charges with that as well.
