If you are interested, the photos from this weekend's machine gun shoot at the Knob Creek Range have been posted. Of course going to a machine gun shoot is not without it's risks. As I was packing up the car to leave, a stray bullet (or fragment/shrapnel) struck my windshield. Luckily it held, because I was sitting right behind it at the time.
See there? Now that's why machine guns should be outright banned, along with every other scary lookin' gun. ;) We can't just have shrapnel flyin' around randomly, striking people's windshields and whatnot.
Posted by: Publius II at April 11, 2005 12:41 PMLooks like you were nearly a victim of "Gun Violence", to be held up as further proof that we need "Sensible Gun Laws". Sarah Brady might have sent you a nice greeting card thanking you for...
Ok, now I've done it...went and made myself ill.
Welcome back.

Posted by: Jack Cluth at April 11, 2005 5:04 PMSheesh.... reminds me of when an moron at the local range was shooting Bianchi plates at about 15 yards with a .454... needless to say, he got a surprise when a chunk of copper jacket bounced back and sliced through his leg... nice pics, btw...
Posted by: Will at April 11, 2005 11:49 PMYou'll shoot your eye out, kid, as Santa said to the kid Jean Shepherd concerning a Red Ryder BB gun.
I should've known there would be other gun bloggers at Knob Creek. A pity they didn't set up a booth for us to live-blog from.
Also a pity that it was so freakin' expensive to shoot the guns. But getting to watch that minigun spray over 50,000 rounds was damn impressive.
