Name: Russ
Age: 40-ish
Status: Single
Occupation: Program
Director for a Telecom firm
Location:
Hong Kong, ROC
Bio: Russ is in
his early 40s, but he lives the lifestyle of a 20-something. He's a Gulf
War veteran, and a Navy reservist.
Favorite Beer: Anything
lite.
Hobbies: Drinking,
flying, and collecting anything with a power button.
My take on him: Last year Russ entered stage three of his mid-life crisis, purchasing a GM muscle car, after completing the first two stages of dating an 18 year old and having cosmetic surgery. I remember because he tried to justify the car as a wise investment. I think his exact words were, "It shouldn't depreciate as fast as our company stock." As for future plans, he has already started working on stage four, getting a hairpiece, and impotence.
I have known Russ for quite a few years. Recently, after purchasing a house in Kansas, he decided to move to Hong Kong to have better access to Asian whores and barbequed cat. When I asked what he was going to do about his service in the military, he told me they were going to let him "work from home." So far there haven't been any complaints from his neighbors about his marching around his living room and screaming "Aye Aye, Sir".
Over the years I have learned that Russ will purchase anything with a power button. He once purchased a network server over the internet, and then asked me to tell him what it was good for. When asked why he bought something for no particular reason, like a woman he replied, "because it was on sale."
