It should come as no surprise that bigotry abounds in the Congressional Black Caucus. Senate democrats, with support of the CBC, stand to filibuster a third minority judge. After blocking the nomination of Miguel Estrada because he wasn't "Hispanic enough", the Dems plan to block the nomination of Janice Rogers Brown, because she isn't black enough, or as one member of the CBC put it, she is "cut from the same cloth as Clarence Thomas" and should be kept off a federal appellate court.
Many bigoted Democrats view Justice Thomas as an "Uncle Tom", because he does not rule the way they think a black man should. Justice Thomas is a staunch supporter of the Constitution and the rule of law, and Senate Democrats fear that Judge Brown will be as well.
